Touch the Sky

Made By Survivors

5" x 7" print with mat - to fit 8" x 10" frame.  This image was taken as part of the VISION FOR EMPOWERMENT workshop series, which was offered to women in our Calcutta program for four weeks in 2015, and will be offered again to a new group of women in Jan. 2017.  The goal of this project is both therapeutic self-expression and career exploration.  Photography is an overwhelmingly male-dominated field in India, yet many women are extremely interested in it, and as you can see, they have a natural vision and unique perspective.  The workshops were led by St. Augustine photographer Sarah Annay.  Print comes with a card explaining the project with quotes from the participants about what inspired them. 100% of the purchase price of this print goes to funding the 2017 Vision for Empowerment workshops for survivors.
